About this Event
Join the Atlanta Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience and the Center for Behavioral Neuroscience for an all-day neuroscience-based Q&A competition similar to a Spelling Bee for middle and high school students (ages 13-19)!
Teenage students representing middle and high schools in their states or regions turn out yearly for local Brain Bees. In these elimination-style competitions, students answer questions about the functioning of the brain and nervous system one by one until a single winner remains. The champions of each regional Brain Bee are invited to a national Brain Bee representing their region. The winner of the annual USA Brain Bee is sent to the annual International Brain Bee to represent the United States of America, and recently our 2025 Atlanta Champion won both the USA and International Brain Bee! The Atlanta Brain Bee has been running for over 20 years and we are excited to make it happen in 2026.
