The 2026 ASBA New Board Member Institute will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the DoubleTree Hot Springs, with a virtual option available.This one-day training meets state-mandated requirements and provides practical guidance for new board members — or those seeking a refresher. Topics include board roles and responsibilities, school finance and audits, FOIA and ethics laws, school safety, and how board decisions shape student success.
Participants earn six (6) training hours and receive the ASBA Basics for New School Board Members Handbook.
