This collaborative BioBlitz brings together the community and experts to survey, document, and celebrate the living organisms that make this desert so extraordinary.

Hands-on training using the free iNaturalist app to record plant and wildlife observations
Daily meet-ups at the Steele/Burnand Anza-Borrego Desert Research Center

This is a two-day event – you can join for either or both days!
Friday, April 24, 2026: 5 p.m.–10:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 25, 2026: 6:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Location:
We’ll meet each day at the Steele/Burnand Anza-Borrego Desert Research Center (401 Tilting T Dr., Borrego Springs, CA 92004). From there, we’ll carpool/caravan to our field survey sites.
