On Monday, April 13, 2026 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, the City of Omaha Planning Department will conduct a Public Hearing. The purpose of this hearing is to obtain the views of citizens, public agencies, and other interested parties on the 2026 Annual Action Plan, which provides a summary of the actions, activities, and the specific resources that will be used each year to address the priority needs and specific goals identified by the 2024-2028 Consolidated Plan. The Annual Action Plan primarily describes the uses for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), and Emergency Solution Grant (ESG) funds in the 2026 funding year.
The meeting will include a brief presentation, as well as time for participants to ask questions and provide comments to city staff. The presentation will start at approximately 5:45 pm. The meeting will also include information on city resources, programs, and funded projects. The meeting will be in an open house format, allowing attendees to arrive or depart at their convenience.
This meeting will be held at the Venue at Highlander, located at 2120 N 30th St, Omaha, NE 68111. Parking is available immediately to the north of the Venue, as well as to the south along Patrick Avenue. There is an elevator access from the north parking lot, which is located next to the stairway through the doors underneath “The Venue” sign. Spanish and ASL interpreters will be available at the meeting.A summary document covering the hearing topics will be available by March 29 and will be posted to planninghcd.cityofomaha.org. A full draft of the 2026 Annual Action Plan will be available on April 13 online and at the hearing.
