UPDATE: Due to unmanageable ice conditions at Lac Cardinal, the Alberta Pond Hockey Championships cannot be safely set up or run on the lake this year.
After careful consideration, the Board has decided to move the tournament to the Mile Zero Regional Multiplex in Grimshaw, utilizing both the indoor arena and the outdoor rink adjacent to the facility. Food and beverage services will be available throughout the weekend inside the Multiplex, including a beer gardens on the second floor of the arena. The Gala Evening will still take place at the Multiplex in the Field House, featuring live music by The Calverts. Tournament registration remains open online, and teams are encouraged to continue registering, as only 24 team spots are available for this year’s event. Gala tickets are available online and at select locations throughout the Peace Region. While this venue differs from the past 14 years at Lac Cardinal, the Board remains committed to delivering a safe, well-run tournament for players, volunteers, and spectators.
