Location: Starting at Sioux City IA. Ending in Marquette IA.

This years ride will be from Sioux City to Clear Lake on Friday. And from Clear Lake to Marquette on Saturday.
The meeting place to start the ride is the Maverick station at 1005 Gordon Drive, Sioux City IA.
We will depart at 9:00 AM. There will be a riders meeting at approx. 8:45. Please show up ready to ride. (Tank full, bladder empty)
Fridays ride is approx. 190 miles and will take us to Clear Lake. We will be stopping at the WWII prisoner of war museum in Algona in the afternoon. There will be many short stops along the way as well as a lunch stop yet to be determined.
The unofficial overnight motel for Friday will be the AmericInn at 1406 North 2th St. in Clear Lake, you are welcome to stay where ever you wish. There won't be any blocked rooms. Lodging is your responsibility.
Saturday's meeting place will be the parking lot of the AmericInn. Departure time is somewhat flexible. Saturdays ride is a short 130 miles so we should have plenty of time. A tour of the Surf Ballroom is planned for Saturday morning and it doesn't open until 10:00. Anticipated time to leave the motel and head to the ballroom is 9:30
The price of the self guided tour at the ballroom is a little pricy at almost 20.00 so if you don't wish to tour the ballroom, you are welcome to entertain yourself till others have toured the ballroom. There will be more information on this on the Saturday morning of the ride. As I understand it, what can and can't be toured varies with what entertainers are scheduled.
Beside the Surf Ballroom, planned stops for Saturday include the Montauk Historic site near Clermont and Pikes Peak along the Mississippi river. And like Friday, rest and gas stops, plus lunch along the way.
The unofficial motel for Saturday night will be the Comfort Inn & Suites at 100 North St. in Marquette. Saturdays ride is a short ride, so I anticipate getting to Marquette by late afternoon or early evening. Those who wish are welcome to stay in the Marquette area, of if you wish, you can get a started on your return trip and stay where you wish.
The ride home, or where ever your Sunday destination is, is all on you. The "guided" part of the ride is only Friday and Saturday. If you are going in my direction you are welcome to ride with me, but my normal riding style is with less stops, and shorter stops then I do while guiding the group.
Other notes;
Excepting to go on this ride it totally your choice. There are no known hazardous roads or areas. Exception would be, for those who don't normally encounter it, short stretches of gravel at some of the stops. I will not intentionally lead you into a bad situation. But your decision to ride and follow are totally your decision. If you are not comfortable with any part of the ride, don't do it. No liability is assumed or implied.
The ride will go on rain or shine, so having rain gear is advised. In the event of severe weather, adjustments will be made.
This is NOT a bar hop. Drinking is discouraged until we reach our final stop for the day.
Anyone is welcome to join or leave the group at anytime. If you have been with the group and are leaving, please make it known so we aren't looking for you. If you leave and wish to rejoin, it is totally your reasonability to find and rejoin the group.
