About this Event

Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Advanced Practice Provider Critical Care Boot Camp will take place September 2nd & 3rd from 8:00am-3:30pm. It is a multi-specialty critical care conference for practicing critical care nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Now in its fourteenth year, this lecture-based, interactive course is designed to educate new providers with relevant evidence based clinical information; and challenge experienced providers with new research, updated best practice guidelines and thought-provoking discussions. The diverse conference faculty includes physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who are leaders in their disciplines from across the country. This year’s topics include (but are not limited to):

· ICU Ed and Todd-Cast

· Top Papers in Critical Care Medicine

· Post-Cardiac Arrest Brain Care: Neuroprognostication & Brain Death

· Challenging Sedation Cases

· Cardiogenic Shock (Part 1 and Part 2)

· Pro/Con Panel: Should New Grad APPs Be Required to Complete Fellowship Training in Critical Care?

Learners will have the opportunity to engage in pro–con panel discussions and moderator-led roundtable sessions covering topics such as critical care leadership structures, onboarding critical care APPs, and ICU triage.

A light breakfast and lunch will be offered on September 2nd an 3rd and are included in the conference registration price. A complimentary networking event and wine reception will take place on September 2nd from 15:30-17:00
