About this Event
The Indigenous Physical Activity & Cultural Circle (IPACC) is excited to host the 13th Annual Active Spirit Family and Community Walk and Run (2km/5km) event on Friday, April 10th, 2026 at 3:30 PM PST with the Musqueam community.
IPACC would like to acknowledge and recognize that the 13th Annual Active Spirit Walk and Run is being held on the unceded, ancestral, and traditional territory of the Musqueam people.
We would also like to acknowledge the support of The University of British Columbia, Indigenous Health and Physical Activity Program for their support and for the faculty, staff, and volunteer students who were a great part in making this event successful.
IPACC's vision is to establish and expand relationships between individuals engaged in physical activity by improving access to resources and promote exposure to health and wellness opportunities. IPACC’s mission is to create a community of mentors, leaders, participants, and supporters who promote physical activity as a way to health and wellness.
IPACC feels this would be a great benefit for promoting exercise, healthy lifestyles, culture and tradition. This will be a fun day for all involved and an opportunity to focus on physical fitness, healthy lifestyles and the promotion of wellness.

Registration: 3:30 PM
Warm-up: 3:45 PM
Walk & Run: 4:00 PM
Can’t make it in person? Join us on from April 4-10th and share your walk/running activities with the hastags #Indigenous, #IPACC, #Virtual, #ActiveSpirit, #Walk, #Run, #2km, and/or #5km and/or #10km
From April 4th-10th, aim to accomplish your goal distance and/or time, and upload a screenshot to the "post" section of Strava with your distance and time. Don't forget your hashtags!
