The time has come for the highly anticipated 2025 Umoja Winter Coordinator’s Retreat! We are thrilled to gather with you to connect, share critical updates, engage in strategic program planning, and exchange best practices. This year’s retreat offers hands-on support for program challenges while prioritizing practitioner wellness, mental health, and rejuvenation. Together, we’ll create space to retreat, reflect, and recharge as we continue to advance Umoja’s mission.
Dates: January 7-9, 2025
Our accommodations will be at the Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego, California.

Event registration and room booking deadline: 5:00 PM PST on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
For this event, we will cover the hotel accommodation and event registration for one (1) Umoja Primary Coordinator. Accommodation includes a single or double occupancy room for January 7–9, 2025, based on availability.
If your program includes multiple coordinators, or a counselor serving as a Co-Coordinator, the additional practitioner may attend but your campus will be responsible for their event registration fee and lodging costs. Please note, each campus is limited to a maximum of two (2) practitioners for the event.
Each Umoja Program will receive:
- One (1) complimentary registration with two nights of hotel accommodation for one (1) Coordinator with four (4) meals.
- If your campus is sending an additional coordinator or counselor at your own expense, their paid registration will include four (4) meals.
January 7, 2025 - Lunch Provided
January 8, 2025 - Breakfast and Lunch Provided
January 9, 2025 - Breakfast Provided
Dinner all nights will be on your own.
All registered attendees will receive:
- 4 Meals including Lunch on January 7, breakfast and lunch on January 8, and breakfast on January 9. There will be a reception on January 7th with light refreshments.
- Participants should plan for dinners on their own.
- All participants should expect to cover their own dinners.
Important Travel Information:
- Transportation expenses will be the responsibility of attendees. This includes flights, ground transportation, and parking. Parking is $20.00 per night for self-parking.
- Primary Campus Coordinators will be added to the room list by Umoja via their event registration through the Eventbrite link. All additional participants must book their own hotel accommodation through the provided hotel link and have a credit card on file for incidentals.
- Primary Campus Coordinators are responsible for any incidentals incurred or damages to their room and/or property.
- Please note that any nights booked before or after the Winter Coordinator’s Retreat are the responsibility of the attendees and must be reserved separately from the Umoja Room List, at the attendee's own expense.
HOTEL INFORMATION:
For Primary Campus Coordinators, Umoja will cover the hotel stay, specified meals, and tax for the nights of Tuesday, January 7, 2025, and Wednesday, January 8, 2025. You are responsible for additional nights.
