For 44 years, the Norwegian community in Minnesota has gathered on Norway’s Constitution Day, May 17, to celebrate with great food, colorful flags, national songs, and inspiring speakers. Norway House is proud to continue this cherished tradition in our Sundet Aula.
This year, we are delighted to highlight St. Olaf College, a world-class higher education institution founded by early Norwegian immigrants in Minnesota. As St. Olaf celebrates its 150th anniversary, President Susan Rundell Singer will share the college’s origin story and its deep ties to Norway, as well as how it has evolved while continuing to honor its Norwegian heritage.

Grilled Beef Tenderloin — Marinated with Roquefort butter and herbs, served with asparagus and steamed dill potatoes
Lemon Pepper Salmon — Roasted and served with creamy dill sauce, asparagus, and steamed dill potatoes
Stuffed Portobello — Mushrooms with sauteed spinach, roasted red pepper, gouda, served with a balsamic glaze and asparagus

A full table is eight ( 8 ) people.
This event has open seating—places are not reserved in advance.
However, purchasing a full table of eight can ensure a reserved location for you and your guests with a sign and preferred seating.
We will email table purchasers to gather the names of those sitting at the table, their dinner preferences, and any dietary restrictions. Please complete this information by the end of the day on Thursday, May 10, when registration closes.

🎓 Dr. Susan Rundell Singer, is a nationally recognized leader in higher education and STEM advocacy, currently serving as the President of St. Olaf College.
With a distinguished career spanning academia, federal policy, and institutional leadership, she has been at the forefront of advancing undergraduate education, equity, and student success.
Prior to joining St. Olaf, Rundell Singer was Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost at Rollins College and led the Division of Undergraduate Education at the National Science Foundation, spearheading national STEM initiatives.
A plant biologist by training, she is a passionate advocate for sustainability and experiential learning. Rundell Singer is an elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and serves on multiple national boards dedicated to science education and innovation.
