WHY SHOULD YOUR CHILD SIGN UP FOR THIS LEAGUE?

This is the league that all of the kids want to sign up for!!! The Stampede Youth Basketball League gives the kids a positive experience and a head start in basketball. It is a fun introduction to the game of basketball. There are no practices during the week. Games are on Saturdays for 1 hour (there is 1 Sunday January 26th). The first 20 minutes will be dedicated to fundamental work and team concepts, and the final 40 minutes will be 8-five minute periods of game play against other kids in his grade level.

This is Coach Amundsen’s 25th year of running youth leagues. In the past he has had as many as 550 participants in the league.

The participants in the league will be coached by the Clovis North High School Basketball Players. Being a member of the Stampede Youth Program allows each member to get into our home basketball games for free, when they wear their Stampede Youth Basketball jersey. The kids really enjoy watching their coaches play in the games.

When making teams we try to group elementary schools together, but sometimes it is difficult with some schools having many participants and others with only a few. There is a space on the entry form to request that your child play on the same team as a friend from the same grade level, and we will try to honor 1 request.

PLEASE HURRY!

The league is filled on a first come first served basis. There is a limited number of spots in each grade level, so a quick response will ensure a spot in the league!
