Join the Breathe California Sacramento Region Tobacco team and Youth Advisory Board at Howe Community Park for the annual Tobacco Litter Pick-Up event on Saturday, April 5th from 8:30-12PM!
Breathe California Sacramento Region will offer on-site training. This event is held in partnership with the Greater Sacramento Smoke & Tobacco Free Coalition, the Sacramento County Tobacco Education and Prevention Program, Equestrian Patrol, Sierra Club, and the Association of Women in Water, Energy and Environment.
Come out and help keep our parks free of tobacco waste and make connections with the community.
EVENT DATE: Saturday, April 5th from 8:30-12PM
- Starting at 8:30PM PT for coffee and snacks
- Volunteers will be required to complete a waiver form (adult, youth) upon arrival
- Free parking is available.
- There will be opportunities for volunteers to win raffle prizes!
During the event
• We recommend to please wear sturdy/comfortable closed-toe shoes, long pants, a hat, and sunscreen.
• Breathe California Sacramento Region will provide trash bags, gloves, extra water, and snacks. We do recommend that you bring your own water and you are welcome to bring your own tools such as trash grabbers.
• For the safety of our volunteers, Breathe California Sacramento Region volunteer events are subject to cancellation in the case of weather, flooding, and other natural causes. An email notifying all volunteers and staff will be sent out if we need to cancel.
