About this Event
Welcome to the 2025 Small Grants & Training 4 Trainers Projects Showcase!
Join us for a dynamic day of learning, connection, and celebration highlighting 20+ community-led projects supported by LISC Houston in 2025. This showcase brings together grassroots leaders and organizations working across childcare, creative placemaking, disaster resilience, education, safety, and sports & recreation—all rooted in the lived experiences of Houston neighborhoods.
Projects span communities including the East End, Fifth Ward, Gulfton, Kashmere/Trinity/Houston Gardens, Near Northside, Northline, Spring Branch, Sunnyside, and Third Ward, demonstrating the breadth of innovation and collaboration happening across the city.
Attendees will hear directly from Small Grants recipients and Training 4 Trainers participants as they share how community members identified needs, designed solutions, and built local capacity to create lasting change. From activating public spaces to strengthening neighborhood-based organizations, these initiatives reflect what is possible when residents lead.
Whether you are a community leader, nonprofit partner, funder, or simply curious about how local change happens, this showcase offers an opportunity to discover replicable ideas, build relationships, and see community development in action. Come be inspired by the people and projects shaping Houston’s neighborhoods.
