2025 Seminar for K-14 Educators
Description: Silicon Valley Korean School (SVKS) warmly invites you to our 16th Seminar for K–14 Educators. Since 2009, SVKS has been honored to host seminars that bring together local educators for learning, sharing, and community building.
This year’s theme is “Empowering Students with Their Stories of Resilience”.
We are excited to welcome Dr. Jeff Kim, teacher at Anaheim Union High School District and author of the Korean American Ethnic Studies course. His course helps students learn, share, and act on their stories of resilience through the framework of Know, Tell, Listen, and Do Something Good with Your Story. Drawing inspiration from AUHSD’s pioneering Korean American Studies course, his presentation will provide practical guidance on how educators can support students in telling the stories of their families, communities, and themselves.
The seminar will also feature:
- A student panel sharing how cultural identity shapes their strengths and stories.
- A presentation on Korean food—and the chance to taste some delicious dishes!
