The 2025 BPD Residents Police Academy is a free course presented by the Bloomington Police Department. Each Tuesday evening beginning on September 16th and ending on November 4th from 5:30 to 7:30pm, you'll meet members of BPD and learn about a different aspect or specialty of policing. You'll learn about crisis negotiations, police social work, critical incident response, emergency vehicle operations, firearms, defensive tactics, dispatch telecommunications, criminal investigations, narcotics investigations, police K9s, and more.All residents of Bloomington 18 years of age or older to welcome to register by completing the application form (https://forms.gle/brQHZewdKwj7iDGo8).
