Red River Quilters presents 2025 Quilt Show "Celebrating The Art of the Quilt"This year’s challenge is Celebrating Quilts with Curves - either modern or traditional - RRQ guild members have pushed the boundaries & sharpened their quilting skills creating curves, improv curves or the illusion of curves for this years show. Our Special Exhibit is Quilts that Shout. Participants were challenged to use big, bold colored fabrics in the style of Tula Pink or Kaffe Fassette. Attendees can expect to see some daring quilt patterns & vibrant colors at this special exhibit.
Each year we feature a quilter who has produced a remarkable body of work. Our Featured Quilter this year is Bobbie Deeter from Shreveport, LA. Bobbie has over 75 years of sewing under her belt; starting her sewing journey at just 12 by making her own clothes. In 1978 Bobbi first started quilting in Lemore, California. An experienced quilter, hand quilting is Bobbi’s passion & she is never without a project nearby.
We will also have a silent auction. Up for grabs will be completed quilts, quilt tops, UFOs & sewing related items. We will also have a Guild Booth where handmade items & quilted items made by our Guild members will be for sale. Tickets for our raffle quilt, Southwest Sunrise, a king sized quilt (100”x100”) with two matching queen shams, can be purchased at the show.
Our Quilt Show is open to the public. There will be door prizes. Tickets are Kids 4 & under Free, Kids Ages 5-10 $5, Ages 11 and up $10.
