10:00 AM: Registration at President Abraham Lincoln Hotel (701 E. Adams St., Springfield)
10:30 AM: Session 1: Finding & Applying for State Grants, presented by a representative of the Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity.
11:30 AM: Session 2: Working with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), including information on grants and what you need to know when working on other projects interfacing with IDOT. Presented by an IDOT staff member.
12:30 PM: Break
12:45 PM: Lunch with a guest speaker TBD.
2:00-4:45 PM: Meet with legislators at the Capitol.
5:00-6:30 PM: Legislative Reception, featuring open bar and appetizers. This will be a great opportunity to interact with your legislators and continue to build relationships with them. Dinner with fellow MTA members on your own will follow (a list of restaurants will be provided).
Registration is required. The cost of $80.00 per person includes lunch and appetizers & open bar at the reception (members are responsible for booking their own hotel rooms-see below).
A block of hotel rooms for the night of March 19 has been reserved at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel. The deadline for booking for this block and rate is February 25.
