Get ready to pedal your way into the holiday spirit at the Mountain View and Palo Alto Local Team's third annual Holiday Lights Bike Ride!
Join us for a memorable evening that'll have you feeling the joy of the season while exploring the twinkling holiday lights. This is an inclusive and family-friendly ride that celebrates multiculturalism and the joy of the holiday season.
π Saturday, December 14th. Meet at 5:15 p.m. Rollout shortly after to accommodate those arriving via Caltrain.
πΊοΈ Location: We'll kick things off at the Mountain View Transit Center. This festive journey will be a 13-mile loop from Mountain View to Christmas Tree Lane in Palo Alto. However, we will coordinate a bike pool for folks to travel to Mountain View from Palo Alto via Caltrain ahead of the rollout time. Palo Alto residents are also more than welcome to meet us enroute to Palo Alto or depart after arriving at Christmas Tree Lane in Palo Alto. Please reach out to [email protected] if you plan to meet the group enroute.
π² How We Ride: We will navigate the streets as a slow rolling bicycle bus (we will all stay grouped together) and will occasionally stop for pictures. We encourage you to decorate your bicycles with lots and lots of holiday lights!
𧀠Attire: Please dress in warm layers to keep cozy while we ride! We recommend long sleeves, leggings under your pants, gloves, and beanies or caps under your helmet.
π Ride Support: Some ride volunteers are needed to help manage the bicycle bus - any somewhat experienced rider with a cell phone who can show up 15 minutes early should qualify. If you'd like to help, please reserve yourself a Volunteer Ride Support ticket!
Note: We won't be prepared to support bike repairs during the ride. Please plan accordingly (e.g., have someone available you can call for pick up if needed).
