I’m Your Huckleberry Virtual Race 1M, 5K, 10K, 13.1, 26.2

In honor of the legendary Val Kilmer and his unforgettable portrayal of Doc Holliday in Tombstone, we invite you to lace up your shoes and run in the “I’m Your Huckleberry” virtual race. This event celebrates the life of an actor who captured our hearts with his iconic roles, wit, and relentless spirit. Val’s legacy lives on, and this race honors his memory while supporting a cause close to his heart. There is also a shout out to Iceman on the medal, from his role on Top Gun!

Plus, 15% of each registration will be donated to , an organization that Val supported and contributed to, which is dedicated to uplifting communities and creating change by building strong pathways for high-school-age youth in foster care to post-secondary education and successful adult lives.

Race Details:
  • Distance Options: 1M, 5K, 10K, Half Marathon (13.1), Full Marathon (26.2)
  • Race Window: Complete your race anytime between August 31 - December 31, 2025. Run on your own terms, at your own pace, and wherever you choose — all you need is the will to run! Medals will start shipping out in July!
  • Entry Fee: $24, which covers the cost of your medal, bib, and donation to charity.
  • For a limited time you can purchase extra SWAG, including shirts, HERE! This extra SWAG is ordered separately on Threadless.com and our discount codes do not apply.

How It Works:
  1. Register for the race: Choose your distance (1M, 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, or Full Marathon) and sign up online.
  2. Run your race: You can complete your race anywhere — on your treadmill, through your neighborhood, or on your favorite trail. There's no need to wait for an event day; just run when you're ready.
  3. Submit your time (optional): After completing your run, submit your time to the race website to track your progress and see how you compare with fellow runners.
  4. Get your finisher’s medal: Medals and bibs will start shipping out mid-July. If you sign up after that they will ship out within 2 to 5 days of signing up.

Why Participate?

This is more than just a race — it’s a tribute to a beloved actor and a way to give back to the next generation. Val Kilmer’s legacy was defined by his boldness and passion, traits we aim to carry forward through this event. By running, or walking, you’re not only keeping his spirit alive, but you’re also helping to change lives. Every step you take supports First Star and their mission to guide foster youth through mentorship and educational programs, helping them achieve success in life.

So, as Val Kilmer famously said in Tombstone, "I'm your huckleberry." Take this opportunity to honor a true Hollywood legend and make a difference for children who need it most.

Run for Val. Run for a Cause.

Join the race today and help make the world a better place, one step at a time.

What is a Virtual Race?

A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. Running and walking on your own, or with friends! And your medal will be shipped directly to you. Complete a virtual 5Ks, 10K, half marathon and more!

Each race benefits a difference charity

For each of our virtual races, we choose a charity to donate a portion of each registration to. We’ve already raised more than $1,00,000 for charities from races here at Virtual Run Events! Our goal is to continue to help different charities around the world.
