About this Event
SECOND SATURDAYS
Experience for yourself how native plants create habitat for wildlife in beautiful and fascinating gardens on both sides of the state line, from April to September.
SUBSCRIBE TO THE SEASON or REGISTER BY THE MONTH
Subscription for all four months is by suggested donation: $48 for one person, $88 for two people (find a buddy!). Or register by month - suggested donation $16 per person.
Suggested donation is just that - pay what you can. Everyone is welcome. If you've been to conventional garden tours you know tickets are often $45 for a single day. And if you can pay more, your support is much appreciated. It helps make this program possible for all.
PLEASE NOTE: This year there will be check-in at each garden, so please note the names of everyone in your party. We'd like to be able to welcome everyone by name!

GROW WITH US
From the delicate spring ephemerals of April to the robust prairie blooms of September, these habitat gardens represent a wide diversity of styles, sizes and locations.
These aren't fancy manicured gardens (although some are). Nor all purely native (although some are). But they're all living landscapes grown by people like you, with similar site challenges and real-world resource and time limitations.
Come meet other wildlife and native plant lovers, chat with garden hosts and volunteers, and leave with inspiration and practical resources to help you grow your own habitat garden. Our motto for 2025 is: Do try this at home!
To make that easier, we've organized a native plant sale on each tour date. Once you've gotten inspiration and ideas at the tour gardens, head to the plant sale and get plants for your own habitat garden!
