We thought it would be fun to get the residents of the greater Gretna metro area together for a free Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning! Nothing formal, but a chance to meet fellow runners from the area before we gobble down on our Thanksgiving feasts, and support our local food pantry, Gretna Neighbors.Date: Thursday, November 27th
7:30 am - Check-in & assemble
8:00 am - Group Picture
8:05 am - Start
Location: Gretna Crossing Park, 20907 Jansen Drive (Shelter across the street south from the YMCA)
Distances: (route maps coming soon!)
- 3 mile route - runners & long walkers - take a full tour of the park!
- 1 mile route - walkers, short runners, and kids - do a quick loop around the fishing pond!
Registration Fee: No fee, but please register https://tinyurl.com/2s3sw7af so we know you're coming, and bring a generous donation of non-perishable food (or cash) for the Gretna Neighbors Food Pantry!
T-Shirts (optional purchase): We will be accepting pre-orders for T-Shirts until noon on Monday, November 17th. We're not ordering extras, so please order in advance if you'd like one. Proceeds from T-Shirt sales will also go to Gretna Neighbors.
