The 2025 Global Forensic Science Symposium will present ground-breaking forensic science research from 40 experts, directly to you, June 3-5. This unique event brings together law enforcement agencies, industry, and academia to share knowledge and training for laboratory professionals. The theme this year is Collaboration in Forensic Science—an essential practice to advance the disciplines across campus and around the world. The symposium will cover topics such as medico-legal death investigation, DNA databases & cold cases, genetic genealogy, toxicology, canine sensors, illicit drug trade, contamination detection, trace evidence, nanotechnology, explosives, crime scene photography, chemical analysis, quantification, fingerprint development, digital and crypto forensics, mass disaster victim management, firearms, accreditation, certification, and laboratory operations. The event will take place in-person at FIU’s MMC Campus and livestreamed on Tuesday, June 3, and virtual presentations and posters via livestream on Wednesday & Thursday, June 4 & 5.
