Invited Speaker:

Desiree LaBeaud, M.D.

Professor of Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Associate Dean of Global Health at the Stanford Center for Innovation in Global Health.

Dr. Labeaud’s research includes the study of domestic and international arboviruses (e.g., mosquito and tick-borne viruses) and emerging infections. Her internationally focused research also includes finding innovative solutions to the global plastic pollution crisis and she has founded a non-profit institute focused on issues of environmental health.
