McMichael Canadian Collection of Art is the only publicly funded gallery devoted exclusively to Canadian and Indigenous art, the permanent collection boasts more than 7,000 artworks spanning iconic figures from Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven, to First Nations, Métis, Inuit, and contemporary artists.The McMichael is also enveloped by over 100 acres (40 hectares) of forest, sculpture gardens, and walking trails along the Humber River.
