The British 6Hours Endurance Challenge returns for 2025. A collaboration between LondonSkaters Speed Team and Federation of Inline Speed Skating, this is the only skate event of its kind in the UK and will be held at Colchester Sports Park, a newly opened, top of the range facility. .
The endurance challenge is suitable for and open to all skaters, and is fantastic training for Le Mans - or simply just as a challenge, or to raise funds for a chosen charity. For international skaters this is also a brilliant way to combine skating and a visit to the vast attractions of London. Fancy dress is encouraged, as is taking part to raise funds for Charities.
.
The objective is to cover the greatest possible distance in 6 Hours in your respective categories, taking turns in teams or as a solo skater. Duo and teams skate one at a time in a relay, changing as often as they like and whenever they feel necessary. There will be a Le Mans style start (starting skaters will line up on one side of track and run across track to put on their skates). Teams will need to wear matching clothing to assist with identification.

.
here is an age limit of 13 (Cadet and above) for this event. These younger skaters will be required to skate as part of larger teams of 5 or more, including two skaters of youth (15 - 16 years) age or above. Youth skaters (15 - 16 years of age) will need to participate as part of a team of four or more (or three if a team member is unable to participate on the day).
.
For the first time, an assisted wheelchair category has been added. Please use the "Categories and Cost of entry" link above for further information.
.
Electronic chip timing will be provided, which enables live timing and telemetry which can be used by you and the team to monitor your progress. Results will provide a breakdown of distance covered, time of laps etc which can be analysed. There will be a photographer present taking photos of you all which will be available to purchase, and each team will receive a digital certificate detailing the total distance covered during the event. All skaters receive a participant medal.
.
There will be gold silver and bronze medals for winners and two runners up of each category.
