Guitarist Chris Allard's seventh album, Dreamweavers: Woven In Time, is cinematic, eclectic and mercurial, combining wide-ranging soundscapes and a contemporary jazz sensibility, with rock, folk, blues, Latin and Eastern influences. This evolving collaboration between Chris and producer Mike Trim has resulted in a wide-ranging album at once earthy, contemplative, considered, and yet also energetic, fiery and space-age.
Joining Chris is an exciting group of musicians at the very top of their game, the band expertly balancing complexity with a sense of melody, accessibility and groove.
Aside from fronting his own groups, Chris has worked with a diverse range of artists, including Jacqui Dankworth, Lea Salonga, Sheridan Smith, Charlie Wood, John Helliwell (Supertramp), Gwyneth Herbert, Dame Cleo Laine, Sir John Dankworth, Carleen Anderson, Claire Martin, Paul Roberts (The Stranglers), Jamie Cullum, Madeline Bell, Gwilym Simcock, the BBC Big Band, and Ken Peplowski.
