Lace up your trail running shoes and join us on foot for the BONFYRE TRAIL FEST run/hike at the DTE Energy Foundation Trail in Waterloo State Recreation area, the largest park in Michigan's Lower Peninsula!The Bonfyre Trail Fest run at the DTE Energy Foundation Trail will make your dirty dreams come true! The flow of this dirt roller coaster is unlike any other trail in the area. As you travel on foot through pines, along steep embankments and around boulders, you'll wonder if you're out west... until the stunning lakes and wetlands remind you that you are indeed running in PURE MICHIGAN!
5 Miles of roller coaster, flowing fun on foot! 5 hour cutoff makes this one hiker-friendly!
10 Miles beginning with easy flowing fun, then upping the ante to more challenging miles with climbs and a few fun features. 5 hour cutoff makes this one hiker-friendly! (Must keep 25-minute per mile pace throughout.)
18 Miles with a mix of flowing fun, challenging climbs and descent, followed by a little more challenging stuff. 5 hour cutoff.
All entrants will receive a custom cozy beanie, marked courses with aid, and finish food. All finishers will receive a custom campfire mug and are eligible for awards! Stick around post-race and celebrate around a roaring fire with a live band playing and a beer garden flowing!
Please note! This is a running event! We anticipate light mountain bike traffic due to a major race taking place elsewhere on the same weekend. Come enjoy this local gem on foot!
