About this Event
The 2025 Black Missional Convening theme, Mission and Money: Renewing Our Relationship with Resource, invites black missional leaders to explore innovative strategies for funding holistic mission. Through presentation and conversation, we will examine approaches like tentmaking and community-serving businesses that address both economic and community needs.
Together, we will engage in theological reflection and meaningful conversations about helpful and unhelpful financial mindsets, exploring how to align them with God’s mission. By the end, we will leave with renewed relationships, inspiring stories, practical tools, and fresh clarity to sustain and expand our missional presence.
About Black Missional Convening:
Where black missional leaders connect, dream, innovate, and reimagine church in the context of our culture and community. This is for missional practitioners and Christian leaders who want to explore missional/movemental expressions of church as a way to pursue the Kingdom of God.
Launched in 2023 by Carl Johnson and Lori M Ruffin, with the support of leaders such as Dr. Dee Stokes, Daniel Yang, Rev. Dr. Efrem Smith, we've hosted two annual gatherings with leaders across the nation.
Looking forward to continuing the conversation with you! Register today and share with the Christian Black Leaders you know.
