Each year, Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra programs a concert for local elementary students, as a way to educate, enrich and inspire the students, if not to continue with music education in middle school, to inspire a love of orchestral music throughout their lives. The concert is also open to the community, and we welcome all ages.This concert has a diverse list of composers, to account for the diversity in our region, and to allow the students to be able to see themselves in the music as well. This concert is during the week and counts as a field trip and is free of charge. We have even helped to secure grants to help cover the cost of transportation.
We are passionate about community and music education and we work hard to close gaps surrounding music education.
This is a free even but registration is required.
