Light up St. Bernard and the 9th annual Will Light For Food Events - Saturday, 12/7St. Bernard’s annual holiday light event -Will Light for Food- is a "contest" that was created to bring the awesome community of St. Bernard together in the spirit of the holidays and in the shared interest of giving.
Participating homes will be officially judged on Saturday, December 7th, from 6 -8:30 PM, by spectators who are asked to place a canned good(s) in the container located outside of their favorite decorated home. Who are these spectators? YOU ARE!!! Whether you are traveling by foot (strongly encouraged), or in a vehicle, please plan to get out with your family and enjoy this event and support the hard work of your neighbors. And remember, all participating homes are winners since all homes collect food for our neighbors in need.
First place will be awarded to the home that has the most canned goods in their container at 8:30 on Saturday evening. All canned goods will then be donated to St. Clement’s Food Pantry. A map that lists the addresses of each competing home will be available a week before the event and will be posted in the discussion section of this event page. We will also post a list of items that are in high demand at the food pantry.
Additional Holiday Festivities - 110 Washington Ave: trolley ride, photo opportunity with Santa and Mrs. Claus (bring your own camera), Queen City HiRailers train display, petting zoo, Fresh Market vendors, craft station for children, and holiday music.
