On any given night, according to the Office of Veterans Affairs, about 131,000 veterans are sleeping on the streets or in shelters across the United States. The purpose of a Stand Down is to provide struggling veterans with resources such as housing, food, clothing, health screenings, benefits counseling, job counseling, and referral services, giving them a hand up, without providing handouts. The Greater St. Louis Veteran Leadership Committee has worked diligently to supply resources that meet the needs of the veterans it serves. The St. Louis Platoon will be helping with various support tasks to ensure every veteran who shows up is served, honored, and cared for in the best way possible.Registration Link: https://www.missioncontinues.org/event/details?id=a1lWP000000z877
