About this Event
2024 Silent Retreat for Religious & Lay Women | The Gifts of Contemplative Prayer
Prayer is the lifeblood of the Christian life. This silent retreat explores different contemplative practices from our rich tradition by familiarizing ourselves with a wide range of key texts and the spiritual lives of theologians, saints, and mystics throughout the ages. Participants will become deeply aware of the unique way God communicates God’s self in both apophatic (with images and words) and cataphatic (without images and words) methods.
RETREAT FACILITATOR
Father Daniel Renaud, OMI, is a preacher, spiritual director, dream facilitator, and adjunct faculty at Oblate School of Theology. He has extensive experience in spiritual direction and Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. Father Renaud studied in the Christian Spirituality Program at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Ronald Rolheiser mentored him in retreat ministry.
