2024 San Diego Surf Responder Summit

BWRAG’s Surf Responder Summit is a two-day training designed for surfers and ocean enthusiasts of all levels and ability. This course teaches you how to be a Surf Responder: an ocean athlete who not only knows how to mitigate their own personal risk, but can also serve as an asset and help others in an emergency situation.

• CURRICULUM: Ocean Risk Management / CPR / First-Aid and Medical Interventions / Spot Analysis / Safety Equipment

Day 2

LOCATION: To be announced shortly!

CURRICULUM: Emergency Action Planning / Mindful Breathing & Energy Management / Water Rescue Training (Unassisted Swim Rescue, Surfboard Rescue, C-Spine Extrication)++

++This Summit will not feature the MRV rescue portion of the Water Rescue Module. Instead, students will role-play rescue scenarios where they will synthesize learnings from both days into tangible, practical rescue situations that are most common to this region.

REGISTRATION FEE**

• $520.00 USD plus applicable fees and taxes
• ​Includes CPR Course Completion Card issued by the Health and Safety Institute (HSI)
• Course Certificate of Completion (qualifies students to purchase the Patagonia PSI Vest; completion of a BWRAG training is a prerequisite for purchasing a Patagonia PSI vest. A BWRAG Certificate of Completion must be presented to Patagonia to begin the purchasing process).
• Every participant who receives a Certificate of Completion from the 2024 San Diego Summit will receive a 30% discount code on Surfline's Annual Premium Membership.
• **Refunds for Registration Fees will be issued in full for cancellations that are requested at least ten (10) days prior to the first day of the Summit. ​No refunds will be issued for cancellations that occur fewer than ten (10) days before the first day of the Summit. Refunds are subject to Eventbrite processing fees, which are non-refundable to the recipient.
