The idea when to organise the next 2024 R.E.S.T. Retreats came to me with so much lightness and confidence a few days ago 💚
I have a very strong feeling that I want to bring you to the forest at the season shifts as nature's tranquility and beauty is available throughout the year, and different seasons may offer unique experiences.
At the retreats we will fully observe nature and its cycles, exploring the changes of the seasons. 🌿☀️🍂❄️
All retreats take place in the beautiful surroundings of one of the most beautiful forests in Warsaw - Mazowiecki Park Krajobrazowy 🌳🌳🌳 (Yes! Such places exist in Warsaw and you can get there by public transport or Uber) on a one-day R.E.S.T.
What can you expect to happen during the R.E.S.T. Retreats?
The retreats are all about slowing down, simplicity and nature. Each retreat is a unique experience. You may expect practices that will allow you to truly R.E.S.T. and relax such as:
🌱 mindfulness practices - both formal and informal to switch from the doing to the being. To allow ourselves to slow down mindfully and to appreciate the present moment.
🌱 breath work - to reset the nervous systems as it signals the parasympathetic nervous system to calm the body down.
🌱 EFT called Tapping - is a body-mind technique that focuses on the stimulation of the acupoints to address emotional distress and anxiety.
🌱 Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) - helps to release the physical tension which may ease stress and anxiety.
🌱 auto-massages - a great way to stimulate your vagus nerve for stress and anxiety relief.
🌱 mindful forest walk - also called forest bathing or shinrin-yoku (no bathing required!) encourages us to experience nature through all of our senses. Thanks to that we can truly unplug from technology and give ourselves a well-deserved rest. If the weather allows, we will have a gentle 2 hr walk.

Is it for me?
🌳 If you are tired, stressed and overwhelmed with everyday life then you may seek some time&place where you spend a restorative day in nature, resting and detoxing from the digital world. Mindfulness and relaxation techniques calm our nerves and reset our nervous systems.
🌳 If you are a complete beginner to this then this retreat might be a chance to try some of the mindfulness and relaxation practices and see if this works for you 🙂.
🌳 If you meditate from time to time, then you may want to arrange time when you can practice. Mindful days work great as they offer motivation and group support 🙂
🌳 If you are a mindfulness course graduate then you may have already experienced how calming and supportive one day retreats can be. This might be a great reminder that mindfulness and breathwork really works and being around like-minded people fills our inner cups.
What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the awareness of the present moment. It's the shift from the "doing" mode into more "being mode" - a much needed balance in our hectic lives.
If you practise mindfulness systematically, you can:
🌿 lower your stress levels & anxiety,
🌿 have a full and restorative time,
🌿 reduce temporary negative feelings,
🌿 improve focus & productivity,
🌿 enhance self-esteem,
🌿 get better sleep,
🌿 boost your energy,
🌿 improve mood and happiness,
🌿 appreciate life more.

Who organises the Forest Retreat? 🌳
Magda Grygolec. I'm a certified mindfulness for kids (Youth Mindfulness, Bristol, UK) and MBSR teacher (Polski Instytut Mindfulness Polim and the Institute for Mindfulness Based Approaches, IMA). I have been practising mindfulness and meditation for over 10 years. I spend a lot of time in nature, understanding how calming and restorative it can be for me and my family. Currently, a happy mum based in Warsaw.
I'm currently studying "Relaxation and Yoga" at AWF, Warsaw.

How much is it?
A single retreat costs 370pln and if you book 2 or more the price is 330 each.
The hot and cold beverages, a vegetarian lunch, all equipment - cushions, mats and blankets will be provided.
If you are struggling financially, but still feel that this retreat is for you, please get in touch - let's see if we can work out things together.
Do I need to take anything with me?
Wear comfortable and temperature/weather appropriate clothes for the sessions in the studio 🙂. You may want to wear warmer hoodie to keep you extra warm (like me). No shoes beyond the main hall. Wear appropriate clothes/footwear for the forest walk 😉

Refund/cancellation policy:
Minimum number of participants for the Retreat is 7 people.
Please note that my retreats are limited to a small number of attendees, to allow for a more personable, intimate experience, my cancellation policy is in place to help the participants and me work together sharing expenses that may arise from unexpected cancellations.
Cancellation requests submitted within 4 days of retreat date will receive the full refund paid minus 25% admin fee. To receive the full refund you may want to offer your booking to a family member or a friend.
