About this Event
Plogging refers to the act of picking up trash while running. The expression stems from the Swedish term "plocka upp" meaning "to pick up" and is combined with the English term “jogging”.
Join us on Friday, May 17th at 5:30pm for a 2-mile plog led by NYRR Coaches and Staff. This activity will introduce new movements into your run while helping clean up our planet. It's perfect to use as a pre-race shakeout!
No plogging experience is required, and runners and walkers of all paces are welcomed.
NYRR will provide compostable bags and gloves to all registered ploggers. Restrooms and bag check will be available.
We will be plogging rain or shine, so please dress accordingly.
