About this Event
Bracken Cave is the summer home of more than 15 million Mexican free-tailed bats (Tadarida brasiliensis), making it the world's largest bat colony and one of the largest concentrations of mammals on earth. The emergence of these millions of bats, as they spiral out of the cave at dusk for their nightly insect hunt, is an unforgettable sight.
This is a morning return flight. Visitors can see the bats stream back into the cave, like a rustling river, as they bed down for the day.
April 10, 2024, 9am Central- Registration Opens. All ages $30 per person. Advance tickets required, no tickets will be sold on site. Sorry, no refunds. Your ticket purchase supports the protection and management of this crucial bat habitat.
