2024 Orchard Place Moonlight Classic presented by Sammons® Financial Group

Dust off the pedals, it’s times for the 13th Annual Moonlight Classic on July 13th, 2024.

Join your friends and family while safely riding your bike through the streets of Des Moines taking in the captivating sights of downtown, the Iowa State Capitol and the river at night. Ride at night to shine light on children’s mental health and help raise awareness and funds for Orchard Place services!

Register now for the 2024 Moonlight Classic presented by Sammons® Financial Group. This is the 13th anniversary for this spectacular night-time bike ride and our goal is to raise $150,000 for Orchard Place.

Meet us at The Iowa Taproom: Who has the Best Bike Lights, Best Helmet Lights, and Best Costume? This is where the judging will take place. Plus, the team with the most registered riders will get awarded the coveted Moonlight Cup traveling trophy and other prizes. There are several different food and drink options at this location. Arrive at 7:30pm to enter in the contests or register onsite. Join us at 8:30pm for the festivities and to prepare to head out on the ride at 9:30pm. Note: In keeping with Iowa law, you do have to be 21 to be in a bar after 9pm.

Registration: $45 (early birds)/$50 (after June 12th) per rider. Those who register by June 12th will receive a free event T-shirt. We will provide a T-shirt for all registrations while supplies last.

Family Packs: $125 (early birds)/$150 (after June 12th) for 2 adults and up to 3 children. These packs are a great way for kids to join in the ride and support children's mental health. We will provide a T-shirt for all registrations while supplies last.

On site Registration: $55 per rider. This ticket will be available to register online and on site Saturday, July 15th.

Virtual Rider: Are you unable to make it to the ride, but still want to support the cause? Register as a virtual rider and ride when you can.

Rider Packet Pick-up Options

Wednesday, July 10th from 3pm-6pm at Bike World, 5003 EP True Pkwy in West Des Moines

Thursday, July 11th from 4pm-7pm at the Iowa Taproom 215 E 3rd St. in Des Moines

Pre-registration is highly encouraged, however, online registration will remain open until the ride officially begins at 9:30pm. on Saturday, July 13th.
