Project is partnering with Giant Texas Distillers and The Prideful Goat to put on our first ever in person meet up and fundraiser.One of the most enjoyable experiences for whiskey lovers is participating in a private barrel selection. Doing it at the distillery and going on a private tour makes it even better! Add to that food, drinks, auctions, raising money for a good cause, and it all being in person with your bourbon family from Bourbon Real Talk Community, and you have the set up for a day you will never forget.

On arrival, guests will have a tasting mat with single barrel samples pre-poured. You will have a pen and a page for notes. Bourbon Real Talk host Randy Sullivan will guide you through the tasting and selection process. We will publicly vote, and the barrel with the most votes will be bottled and sold at a slight premium so that excess proceeds go to L.S.P. As an attendee, you will be given priority access with the opportunity to buy multiple bottles of the whiskey you helped select when it is available (usually around 2 months later). Since Randy is the founder of The Prideful Goat, and the person responsible for the barrel program, there will be barrels available to choose from that are not normally offered in the barrel program.
After the selection, there will be multiple tour times where you will have the opportunity to go on a private tour of the largest distillery west of the Mississippi. Giant can produce up to 7,000 barrels per month. For reference, MGP only makes about 9,000 barrels per month.
In between private tour times, we will be hanging out together in the beautiful tasting room, having lunch from their amazing menu, and sharing pours of whiskey and cocktails. There will be live auctions as well as some silent auctions while we are spending time together. This will be your opportunity to finally spend some time in person with the people you have made friends with online.
The venue has been donated to us, so 100% of the ticket sales goes directly to the non profit. Included with your ticket will be your barrel tasting and tour, but you will be on your own dime for food, additional drinks, and any bottles or merchandise you buy. The main reason we are charging a ticket price is to raise some additional money, but more importantly to have a reasonably accurate count of attendees so we have enough tasting slots and staff to make sure everyone has a great time.
