  • BEER GARDEN OPENS - Colorado Brews - Sandlot Brewery, Coors Field
  • Free Outdoor Concert featuring , Country Western musician, songwriter and poet, and - Celtic Musicians
  • Meeker Farmers Market - Visit and shop the varied vendors onhand during the evening

5:00 PM – LAMB FEED IS SERVED

$25/PLATE - MENU Includes All Food below (Drink not Included) :

  • COLORADO Lamb Un-kabob plus a rack of Denver Style COLORADO Lamb Ribs with special Tzatziki sauce
  • COLORADO - Sides of Greek Salad, Corn on the Cob, Buttered Parsley Potatoes, Sliced Melon and a Dinner Roll - all are included

Held in conjunction with the Meeker Classic Sheepdog Championship Trials, this culinary competition finishes off the Semi-Finals on Saturday at the Meeker Classic.

Many “lamb” traditions have surrounded the annual Meeker Classic Sheepdog Championship Trials for thirty-seven years! The Jammin Lamb Festival features a Lamb Feed featuring the best Colorado Lamb, Free Live Music, Cash Bar and more. This is a true celebration of lamb and the sheep industry in Colorado. Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds will be the site for the Jammin’ Lamb Festival on Saturday night of the Meeker Classic Sheepdog Trials..

  • $25/plate will get you a meal including two lamb entree's: Lamb Un- Kabob, Rack of Denver Style Lamb Ribs, Greek Salad, Roll, Fresh Melon, sides of Corn on the Cob and Baked Potato from the Lions Club and Colorado Peach Crisp - ALL GROWN and RAISED in COLORADO.
  • Kids or Family? - no problem buy one large plate and split it for the kiddos
  • Don't want to purchase tickets right now? That's fine - they'll be on sale at the event unless all tickets are pre-sold.
  • Recipes for the LambUn- Kabobs and Denver Style Ribs will be available with other recipe ideas from the American Lamb Board

Sponsored by the Meeker Classic, Sandlot Brewery, Coors Field - Denver, the local Lions Club will host a CASH Bar/Beer garden at the event. Sit and listen to the live music, visit with friends and enjoy Meeker's small town hospitality. Refund Policy: We understand situations change. Refunds for tickets to the Jammin Lamb Fest will be issued until August 15, 2023. A $5 fee will be assessed and only the ticket cost (but no original processing fees) will be refunded. Contact us through [email protected] for more information. Thank you.

Following the FAQ's below you'll find a few photos of the event . . .

1. I'm attending the Meeker Classic and have tickets. Does that get me into the Jammin' Lamb Fest? Answer: The Jammin' Lamb Fest is a separate event. You're welcome to attend and listen to the music and watch the activities. You must have tickets to eat at the Jammin' Lamb Fest. $25 will get you a very large tray of food. There is also a cash bar and beer garden on site.

2. Can I buy food tickets at the Jammin' Lamb Festival and how much are they? Answer: Yes, tickets are available until they sell out. No guarantee on availablility. $25/plate will get you two good servings of Lamb (Kabob and Ribs), sides and dessert.

3. I have a family with small children. They won't eat as much as adults are there chilren's plates available? Answer: No, but you can share your plate with them or purchase a plate for them to share.

4. I'm attending the Meeker Classic, will there be time for me to get to the Jammin' Lamb Fest after the sheepdog trials on Saturday. Answer: Yes, we've planned our schedule accordingly. The runs typically finish between 4 and 5 on Saturday. We begin serving Lamb at 5 pm. This should give you plenty of time to get to the fairgrounds, especially if you've purchased your meal tickets ahead of time.

5. Is there parking available? Answer: Yes, there is lots of parking available at the Fairgrounds. All within walking distance of the Handlers Challenge Arena Trial that evening.

6. What about handicap access and parking? Answer: Special areas are designated for handicapped parking at the fairgrounds.

7. Are there restroom facilities on site? Answer: Bathrooms are available inside the 4-H Building where the meal is served.

8. What happens if the weather turns bad and we have rain? Answer: That is why we have the event scheduled at the Fairgrounds! We've had too many wind and rainstorms in the past. You'll be inside out of the elements!

9. Is there seating at the Jammin' Lamb Fest? Answer: Yes, there will be tables and chairs.Weather permitting, we will have tables and chairs set up on the ball field. The entertainment will be playing inside. Tables and chairs will be set up in the 4-H building as well. Some people prefer to bring their own lawn chairs and sit outside on the baseball field. There is also bleacher seating for the Handler's Challenge Arena Trial.

10. Do I need to bring eating utensils? Answer: No, plates, service and trays will be provided with the food. Drinks (water and tea) will be available in bottles and cups.

11. Where can I find out about lodging and RV Parking in or near Meeker? Answer: The Meeker Area Chamber of Commerce is the best resource for these questions. You can call them at 970-878-5510

17. I know that spectator dogs are not allowed at the Meeker Classic. What about the Jammin' Lamb Fest? Are there dog boarding services available in Meeker? Answer: We ask you not to bring your dog inside at the Jammin' Lamb Fest - or at least leave them in your car. The meal is served inside. You can eat outside if you like. Use your judgement with the dogs outside and be sure to have them on a leash . Yes, there’s a very nice, affordable place on the east edge of the town of Meeker. Call Arlene at 970-878-5655

18. I'm interested in attending the sheepdog trials as well. Where can I purchase tickets for the Meeker Classic Sheepdog Championship Trials? Answer: You can purchase tickets on the Meeker Classic Eventbrite Site or at the gate.
