About this Event
The cardio-pulmonary system is a huge component of the movement system but do you truly understand how to integrate this system into your patient's plan of care? Life is all about ventilation and perfusion (V/Q). Without stability of this system we are not able to move forward and progress our patients to meet their therapy goals. Pathologies of the cardiopulmonary system can be either a primary diagnosis or a comorbidity for which we need to integrate into our assessment and dosage of interventions. This course will help you to integrate cardiopulmonary pathologies into your Physical therapy Plan of care. You will practice ongoing assessment including accessory muscle use, breathing/ventilation, pulmonary function, lab results, and EKG. The course objectives will be met through the use of lecture, radiographs and case studies. You will come away from this course with valuable tools to better work with all of your patients.
