The 2024 Continuous Improvement Summit is here! Our theme is Forward 2024: Using CI to Move the Agency Forward. We invite participants to participate in sessions that look at new ideas for implementing continuous improvement, learning how others have evolved tried and true tools to meet their needs, and learn about how state and tribal partners have engaged in continuous improvement.
Five plenary sessions will be presented this year, with our kickoff plenary being a leadership panel centering on ways that the EPA is using continuous improvement to move the agency forward - especially during a time of transition. We will also have an excellent presentation from Adam Lawrence on the Wheel of Sustainability which emphasizes maintaining and sustaining continuous improvement within an organization. Following this, we will host the Improvies to celebrate the "Best of the Best" in continuous improvement at the agency. We will then have a presentation from Senior Master Sergeant in the Air Force, David Tibbetts on Culture as a Process which details how to create a culture of continuous improvement within teams and organizations. We close with Profiles in Lean Leadership, our final plenary that dives into what it takes to lead within the agency and adopting CI methodologies.
In addition, we have 15 different breakout sessions where we will discuss the latest thinking in continuous improvement, explore how folks have adapted the tried and true CI tools to meet their needs, and learn about the CI efforts of our state and tribal partners.
