The Canadian Chapter of the Specialty Coffee Association is extremely excited to resume organizing coffee competitions as sanctioned by World Coffee Events.
This year, the National Barista Championships will be hosted by Origine 117, in partnership with Cafe Saint-Henri and Apex Coffee Imports, in Montreal, QC. There will be no regional qualifiers , but one big championship event with qualifying rounds and finals across 4 days. The winner will proceed to represent Canada at the World Barista Championship, May 1-4th in Busan, Korea.

To be eligible to compete in the Barista Championships, the competitor must have lived for full 24 months in Canada by the date of WBC 2024. World Coffee Events holds the final decision pertaining to the eligibility of a Champion. Please read the Rules and Regulations carefully for WBC to ensure that for any other reasons, you may not be eligible to compete at Worlds.
There will be limit of 2 competitors per same company. The reservation of a spot to compete by purchasing this ticket is final. We cannot accommodate refunds if you decide to change your mind and/or your circumstances change.
When purchasing the ticket(s) please use a valid email address we can use to send you your ticket and all further communication regarding the upcoming event. You may purchase the ticket for someone else; however, an email will be sent out to the registered email to confirm the competitor's information.
If registration is full, please join the waitlist! Cancellations are a very real possibility!
Please note that if you are on the waitlist, and you receive an email from us offering you a spot, you have 48 hours to accept before we move on to the next person on the waitlist. You will be billed directly by SCA Canada for the registration fee if and when you accept the spot.
