San Francisco's Berlin & Beyond Film Festival, America's leading showcase of contemporary German cinema, presented by the Goethe-Institut San Francisco, will hold its 28th edition. Join us April 18th-20th at San Francisco's historic Roxie Theater.Featuring several of the most celebrated and anticipated recent films from German-speaking countries: the North American Premiere of Markus Goller's humanistic One for the Road, with an exceptional lead performance by Frederick Lau; the highly anticipated Milli Vanilli biopic Girl You Know It's True, directed by Simon Verhoeven; Vicky Krieps in Margarethe von Trotta's Ingeborg Bachmann – Journey Into the Desert; a special encore of the riveting Academy Award-nominated The Teachers' Lounge, directed by Ilker Çatak and starring Leonie Benesch. Swiss Film & Talks will welcome back Bettina Oberli for a very special 35 mm projection of the classic comedy "Late Bloomers."
