The Ottawa Arts Council invites you to the Ottawa Arts Council Arts Awards Presentation on May 21, 2024 at the Ottawa Little Theatre from 5:30PM to 7:30PM.
We look forward to recognizing the inspiring work of our local creatives alongside our arts supporters. With $28,000 in support of the 2023 awards, we cannot thank our local leaders enough. They have been exemplary in their commitment to arts and culture in our city. The seven awards listed below will be presented to recipients on May 21st; we hope you join us in reconnecting and recognizing our local artists and all they have achieved.
The Victor Tolgesy Arts Award, which recognizes the accomplishments of residents who have contributed substantially to enriching cultural life in the city.
The Peter Honeywell Mid-Career Artist Award, established to recognize and encourage the achievements of Ottawa artists who have evolved beyond the emerging stage in their career to become recognized professional working artists contributing to the community.
The Emerging IBPOC Artist Award, which recognizes the achievements of artists from Ottawa’s IBPOC (Indigenous, Black, and Persons of Colour) community of all disciplines, who are in the early stages of their career in the arts and working towards becoming recognized professional artists.
The Project X Photography Award recognizes the merits of a publicly presented photographic project by an artist who demonstrates an ongoing connection to Ottawa.
The Corel Endowment Fund for the Arts Award champions projects that celebrate the integration of technology and the arts, supporting projects with the potential to significantly advance the artist’s practice or have an impact on the community.
The Community Arts Educator Award recognizes excellence in community arts education and the accomplishments of Ottawa-based artists who provide unique and creative learning experiences that inspire future generations and community art projects that engage Ottawa residents.
The Young Artist Award is a project-based, mentorship-driven youth arts award established for the recognition and encouragement of young Ottawa-based artists, aged 14 – 21 years old, demonstrating exceptional potential and a commitment to excellence in any art form.

Le Conseil des arts d’Ottawa vous invite à la remise des Prix des arts le 21 mai 2024 de 17 h 30 à 19 h 30 au Ottawa Little Theatre.
Nous nous réjouissons de reconnaître le travail inspirant de nos créateurs locaux aux côtés de ceux qui nous soutiennent dans le domaine des arts. Avec 28 000 dollars de soutien pour les prix 2023, nous ne pourrons jamais assez remercier nos dirigeants locaux. Ils ont fait preuve d'un engagement exemplaire en faveur des arts et de la culture dans notre ville. Les sept prix énumérés ci-dessous seront remis aux lauréats le 21 mai. Nous espérons que vous vous joindrez à nous pour renouer le contact et reconnaître nos artistes locaux et tout ce qu'ils ont accompli.
Le Prix Victor Tolgesy pour les arts, qui rend hommage aux réalisations des résidents de la capitale qui ont contribué de manière importante à enrichir la vie culturelle de la ville.
Le Prix Peter Honeywell pour artistes à mi-carrière, établi afin de souligner et encourager les réalisations des artistes d’Ottawa qui ont dépassé le stade émergent de leur carrière et qui œuvrent activement dans la communauté à titre de professionnels.
Le Prix pour artistes émergents PANDC souligne et encourage les artistes PANDC (personnes autochtones, noires et de couleur) de toutes les disciplines, en début de carrière Ottawa qui cherchent à s’établir comme professionnels.
Le Prix Projet X pour la photographie reconnaît les mérites d'un projet photographique présenté publiquement par un artiste qui démontre un lien continu avec Ottawa.
Le Prix du fonds de dotation Corel pour les arts soutient les projets qui célèbrent l’intégration des technologies et des arts. Le prix appuie les projets qui sont susceptibles de faire considérablement progresser le travail de l’artiste ou d’avoir un impact sur la communauté.
Le Prix de l'éducateur/trice artistique communautaire récompense l’excellence en matière d’éducation artistique communautaire et les réalisations d’artistes d’Ottawa offrant des expériences d’apprentissage uniques et créatives qui inspirent les générations futures, ainsi que des projets artistiques communautaires qui font participer les résidents d’Ottawa.
Le Prix pour jeunes artistes est axé sur les projets et le principe de mentorat. Il a été mis sur pied pour reconnaître et encourager les jeunes artistes basés à Ottawa, âgés de 14 à 21 ans, et démontrant un potentiel exceptionnel et un engagement envers l’excellence dans toute forme d’art.
