About this Event
The Greater Richmond Association for Volunteer Administrator (GRAVA) is a membership organization devoted to providing educational opportunities for, promoting the professionalism of, and strengthening the leadership of volunteer organizations and programs in the Great Richmond metropolitan area.
The membership year is September 1 through August 31.
Annual dues are $75 a year and include the following benefits:
- Breakfast Workshops: Some programming may take place via Zoom, if needed.
- Discounted Admission to GRAVA’s Professional Development Conference
- Scholarships: GRAVA members are eligible to apply for a scholarship to be used for professional development, trainings, classes, certifications and educational materials.
- Membership Directory and Network: Members have access to a GRAVA member directory to facilitate communication and partnerships. Additionally, GRAVA network can be leveraged for information, insight and referrals.
- Buddy System: We work to pair relatively new members to the profession with more experienced practitioners for regular problem solving sessions as requested.

- Certification in Volunteer Administration: Assistance and support in becoming Certified in Volunteer Administration (CVA)
- Leadership Opportunities: mas a volunteer-led entity, there are ample opportunities to serve on committees, serve on the Executive Board and to serve as program presenters.
- Volunteer Engagement Professional of the Year: Members are eligible to receive this award at our annual professional development conference.
