2024-2025 GRAVA Membership + Conference Reg Option

The Greater Richmond Association for Volunteer Administrator (GRAVA) is a membership organization devoted to providing educational opportunities for, promoting the professionalism of, and strengthening the leadership of volunteer organizations and programs in the Great Richmond metropolitan area.

The membership year is September 1 through August 31.

Annual dues are $75 a year and include the following benefits:

• Breakfast Workshops: Running 8:30am-10am on the first Thursday of the month.
• Discounted Admission to GRAVA’s Professional Development Conference: Creating Influence in Your Organization hybrid conference Wedensday, Oct 23, 2024. GRAVA will partner with Al!ve, Better Impact, and Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada (VMPC) to host. The conference will consist of four 15-20 minute presentations by internationally known speakers, followed by local discussions in smaller groups and a moderated discussion with the other presenters, including responding to questions from the audience.
• Conference registration includes lunch and light refreshments throughout the day
• Scholarships: GRAVA members are eligible to apply for a scholarship to be used for professional development, trainings, classes, certifications and educational materials.
• Membership Directory and Network: Members have access to a GRAVA member directory to facilitate communication and partnerships. Additionally, GRAVA network can be leveraged for information, insight and referrals.
• Buddy System: We work to pair relatively new members to the profession with more experienced practitioners for regular problem solving sessions as requested.

• Certification in Volunteer Administration: Assistance and support in becoming Certified in Volunteer Administration (CVA)
• Leadership Opportunities: There are opportunities to serve on committees or as program presenter.
• Volunteer Engagement Professional of the Year: Members are eligible to receive this award at our annual professional development conference.
