2022 MID MAIN MICRO MARATHON to benefit Animal Justice LeagueGo the Distance!
The success of our past MicroMarathons proved just how much Houstonians don’t like to run! It’s time again to lace up your sneakers or slip on the flip flops – and give yourself a challenge! We’ve taken the “run” out of running and left little more than the start and finish. Going a full 0.26 miles can be hard on the system, so obviously you’ll need a break or two (with breakfast tacos, polka, coffee and more) to refuel as you make your way around the MidMain complex.
Finishers along with family and friends will be treated to cold beer and hot music in the back yard of the Continental Club, so everyone should save some energy to dance along to the Allen Oldies Band.
Entry fee is $30. You’ll get a sweet race day t-shirt, a car decal for your 0.26 mile effort, and a cold one from St. Arnold Brewing Co. (if you’re over 21) or tasty Rambler Sparkling Water!
Youth entry fee (10 and under) is $15, and will receive a smaller sweet race day t-shirt. Four-legged racers are welcome, too.
Animal Justice League will be on hand with raffles and auctions, and your generous support of their mission is greatly appreciated.
Plenty more surprises and fun in store! We welcome teams, costumes, whatever you got….
Register online at www.continentalclub.com/houston. Race day check-in begins at noon, and the starting tuba sounds at 1:00pm. All the restaurants and shops on MidMain will be open all day, and parking is available in the MidMain Lofts Parking Garage.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Animal Justice League and their mission to reduce the homeless pet population through rescue, education, and outreach. Since 2015, this all-volunteer organization has been relying on fosters, adopters, donations, and most importantly, community support to make it all happen.
