About this Event
One of the most innovative buildings ever designed, winner of numerous architectural awards – and equally controversial - sits at the foot of the Royal Mile amidst the landscape of Holyrood Park. Constructed from a mixture of steel, oak and granite, the Scottish Parliament building still incites vocal supporters and critics in equal measure on its aesthetics to the over runs and over budget price tag. Join a panel of fans and critics to hear more about the inspiration, the drama and the behind-the-scenes stories of a parliament designed by Enric Miralles that is intended to be viewed as ‘growing out of the land.’
In partnership with Benedetta Tagliabue and EMBT Architects.
