🎧 20 YEARS OF DJING 🎧
I’ve always had a love for music, but my interest in DJing really started back in Beaver Scouts after watching a brilliant DJ called Clive Ranking play at the scout hut. Something just clicked… and that was it.
My first ever “gig” (get ready for this 😂) was at just 9 years old, DJing my Nan’s 70th birthday! With my brother Sam by my side, we smashed out the golden oldies all night like pros… even though we were literally just running everything through Windows Media Player on a computer!
Not long after, my mum and dad bought me my first sound system from Maplin, and away I went. Family parties turned into friends’ parties… then weddings for friends of friends. (I’ve even still got some business cards somewhere my drama teacher made me in Year 7 that said “Young DJ”!)
After years of doing private events, I got my first proper residency at The Hansom Cab. My parents knew the owners, I got a trial on a bank holiday weekend… and the rest is history.
From there it’s been an incredible journey — parties, weddings, outdoor events, Christmas markets, karaoke nights… and now my home at The Keepers Lodge (Five years at the Keepers this year) ❤️
So now it’s time to celebrate…
20 YEARS since that very first gig.
Why do I do it? Because this job means everything to me. It’s about making people happy, making people sing, making people dance… and helping people forget about the shit in life, even if it’s just for a little while.
I’ve met some amazing people along the way — some who’ve become lifelong friends, and some who’ve become family.
So… let’s celebrate properly 👇
