The Chubbuck Technique, created by Hollywood acting coach Ivana Chubbuck, has been instrumental in shaping the careers of actors like Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling, Halle Berry and many, many, more. The technique helps actors to deeply explore and embody their characters through psychological and behavioral strategies by turning inner pain and emotions into powerful drivers of their characters' actions and motivations.Or as Ivana puts it herself: “The difference between the Chubbuck Technique and those developed in the past is that I teach actors how to use their emotions not as an end result, but as a way to empower a goal. My technique teaches actors how to win.”

How It Works in Our Class:
You’ll be paired up with a scene partner for two weeks at the time. During these two weeks you’ll do work on a scene with the process of initial work and refinement and after this you’ll change partners and scenes.
Initial Work: In the first week, you’ll start by working on scenes with feedback focused on your initial choices and inner work. This stage helps you identify and correct any misalignments in your performance.
Refinement: The second week is dedicated to refining and perfecting your scenes. You'll incorporate feedback, fine-tune your performance, and work on new scenes to further hone your skills.
